On May 20, 2019, the 3rd Croatian Rural Parliament was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Croatian Network for Rural Development at the Hotel Olympia in Vodice. The Parliament was held in Vodice and Tisno until May 23rd. The co-organizer is LAG More 249, and the hosts were the City of Vodice and the Municipality of Tisno. Our director Ivana Skočić attended the opening ceremony.
The central topic of this year’s parliament was “Smart Village”, and we talked about the new program period of the EU for 2021-2027.
On the third day, field workshops were organized in our county. Workshop participants tried to find answers to a number of questions: What are the opportunities offered by the new EU financial framework and how to improve local community management systems and involve stakeholders in decision making processes?! Why are the natural resources consumable and who and what does it spend, and what can we do to reduce their exploitation ?!
The connection as one of the basic preconditions for staying in rural areas, the possibilities for linking rural areas to urban centers and linking our islands are just some of the topics foreseen for the workshop participants, one of which will be held on our island of Prvić.
Looking forward to see you there!
